So I'm in the middle of job applications for my post-college career, with some interviews filtering through in the next week or two. It turns out that my absolute top choice company responded before everyone else, which will leave me a little lost if we get to the salary negotiation phase. Since I've never been salaried before, I don't know what to look for.I'm a web developer, applying to a position made for entry level college grads (web development). The company is a well-known open source vendor. I also have another top choice company with an interview next week, and they are a startup currently running on VC funding. That position is also a "web developer" position, but it's not specifically made for entry-level applicants. My gut feeling is that I should be looking at $60k+, but I want to be sure I'm not looking unrealistically high in a way that causes issues with these early opportunities, because I'm very interested in both. Anyone have any idea what I should look for, or a good resource that I can use to determine that myself? Or am I worrying about something that shouldn't worry me?
I didn't find the right solution from the internet.
